The valley in a dream of peaks

My cousin works in a pretty plush hotel and she's been getting so disillusioned with men in general. I wouldn't blame her one bit with the stories she tells me. She meets all these perfectly decent guys, who are exactly the type the both of us would consider dating, that bring back prostitutes to their rooms at night. Some of them have wives waiting back home. She was just telling me about one of them:

I met his wife, and she was absolutely lovely, his daughter was adorable, it was so hard for me to speak to her (the Mrs) as she was alone every morning while he went to work, so she came down often to talk to me. When she left, she said, thank you for looking after my husband, see you soon, and then she and her daughter left

The scary bit is, he could be anyone's husband. And you wonder why people get paranoid about their relationships.
