Suspended Motion

A few weeks back, on some random day, I was watching 'Just Shoot Me' when I heard this line: "You don't have to be angry to be deep." Of course, it's probably misquoted, but the essence of it has been on my mind all this while. Now, if only people realised it. It's become so cool to have a cynical 'fuck the world' attitude that it's driving me nuts. Like stop overanalysing... so life's unfair and people are dishonest: deal with it.

On a similar but totally unrelated note, I stumbled onto a blog of a friend's sister recently and an epiphany struck me. I've never seen her as her own person.

She's always been this entity known as 'so-and-so's sister' but I've never made the effort to go beyond the surface. The ironic thing is...judging from her blog, I probably have more in common with her than I do with her sister. Of course, to say that I know her now because of her blog is inexcusably presumptuous, but it does give me an inkling of the world in her eyes. All those wasted years. I feel like hitting my head against the wall when I think of all those times I asked her how her sister was. I've never made that effort to get to know her better, and now I only have 3 months when school reopens to try.
